Code of Conduct Staff
PRINCIPAL:
**
Shall be administrative and academic head of the institution.
Shall exercise the administrative powers as are delegated
under various acts, rules, regulation, orders and instructions
of the government, Department of Collegiate Education, University
and other competent authorities. Shall ensure the smooth and
efficient functioning of the institution.
**
Shall ensure that the scholarship application of the students
are forwarded promptly to the sanctioning authority / departments
viz. Social Welfare Department, Department of Backward Classes
and minorities and also Department of Collegiate Education,
Trusts etc.
**
Shall ensure that the proposal for renewal of the affiliation
of the institution is enrooted to the university in time and
regularly.
**
Shall ensure that the accreditation from the NAAC is obtained
and ensure if already accredited, is upgraded duly within
the validity period (5 years as per present norms)
**
Shall handle 6 hours of teaching work load in a week in his
respective subject.
TEACHERS:
**
Shall engage the classes regularly as per the time table.
**
Shall complete the syllabus prescribed by the university in
time.
**
Shall extend full co-operation to the Head of the Department
and the Head of the Institution in completing the syllabus
in conducting the institutional and University examinations
respectively and also assist in other academic activities
deemed fit to be discharged.
**
Shall follow the guidelines of the U.G.C. maintain the work
diaries and shall be available to the students at least 7
hours daily and for 5 hours on Saturdays in the college.
**
Shall take up research projects and publish quality books
and research papers.
**
Shall be responsible for maintaining the attendance, assignments,
marks sheets and others relevant records in respect of the
classes/subjects taught.
**
Shall attend the valuation work of the university examinations,
which is mandatory.
**
Shall train and tame the minds of the students to develop
responsibility, respect towards law, order and discipline.
**
Shall see that rational attitude and research aptitude inculcated
in the personality of the students.
**
Shall be impartial, tolerant and sympathetic towards students
in general and slow learners in particular.
**
Shall not indulge in or encourage mal-practice in respect
of examinations or other academic activities of the institution
in any form
**
Shall maintain the sanctity and confidentiality in respect
of examinations or any other matters related to the institution
and administration.
**
Shall remain dedicated and loyal to the profession and institution.
LIBRARIAN:
**
Shall behave smoothly and pleasantly with the students.
**
Shall issue the books to the students, teachers and readers
and collect them back.
**
Shall maintain the necessary records like issue register,
accession register and donated books etc.
**
Shall co-operate with the Annual Stock Verification Committee
and Library Advisory Committee during the verification process.
**
Shall discharge the duties assigned by the principal that
are deemed fit.
PHYSICAL
EDUCATION DIRECTOR:
**
Shall coach, guide, train and supervise the students in general
and sports persons in particular.
**
Shall adopt a selective basis for games and athletics and
shall train the sportspersons in the morning and evening regularly
and rigorously.
**
Shall organize the tournaments and motivate the students to
take part in the sports events at different levels.
**
Shall assist the principal in maintaining the discipline,
orderliness and healthy atmosphere in the institutions premises.
**
Shall discharge any other duty assigned by the principal.
CLERICAL
STAFF:
**
Shall prepare the necessary documents and maintain them properly.
**
Shall ensure that all registers, files and diaries are maintained
properly.
**
Shall inform the students regarding the scholarships, fee
concession, and other facilities in time.
**
Shall prepare the budget and maintain correspondence.
**
Shall receive record and reply the letters/circulars issued
by the office of the Joint Director Collegiate Education Dharwad,
Commissioner office Bengaluru and the University and other
departments.
**
Updating the information to the principal regarding the office
matters.
MENIAL
STAFF:
**
Shall carry the files and ledger and other documents from
one section to the other.
**
Shall stitch the files, prepare covers, Answer papers' bundles
and seal them duly during the time of examination.
**
Shall arrange the furniture after cleaning
**
Shall keep the office and the campus clean and neat.
**
Shall keep watch/guard over the campus and college property.
**
Shall carry and deliver the notices/letters to the class rooms,
teaching staff or to the library etc.
**
Shall discharge any other service asked by the Principal,
teaching and non-teaching staff.
