In order to bring out the best hidden talents among the students the college puts all efforts. To develop the art of creative writing among the students the college publishes the annual magazine entitled ‘HONGIRANA’ (Golden ray). The students can contribute their articles, poems, short stories or skits etc. the editorial committee is constituted under the chairmanship of the principal who is also the publisher of the magazine. The committee issues the notice to the students and collects the literary pieces whatsoever. After due scrutiny of the same by the editorial committee the magazine gets published.

Byadgi Education Society’s merchants’ Arts and Commerce College, Byadgi is one of the premier educational institutions in Haveri district. Byadgi is a taluka headquarter in the present Haveri district. Byadgi has been very famous for Red chili. The vast and extensive market yard is known as the second largest Red chilly dealing market in the country. Byadgi was even known once as a famous market center of garlic, areca nut, turmeric and jaggery with all its Florentine background.
