Youth Redcross

Youth Red Cross Unit has been established in the college since the academic year 2017-18.Eversince its establishment the unit has been striving hard to motivate the students towards social services and other extensive activities. The unit conducts the activities regularly in collaboration with the N.S.S. Units of the college. Prof. S.D.Balaji Rao was the first Co-ordinator of this unit. Presently the Co-ordinator of this unit is Prof. K. M. Katagihalli.
The object of this unit is to help the needy section of the society. Every year this unit participates in Mega Blood Donation Camp organized by the N.S.S Units and other local organizations like Rotary Club, Saint John Ambulance Association and I.M.A. in the college. It collects funds for the needy people in case of flood, earth quake and other natural calamities. It organizes the health camps also.

Byadgi Education Society’s merchants’ Arts and Commerce College, Byadgi is one of the premier educational institutions in Haveri district. Byadgi is a taluka headquarter in the present Haveri district. Byadgi has been very famous for Red chili. The vast and extensive market yard is known as the second largest Red chilly dealing market in the country. Byadgi was even known once as a famous market center of garlic, areca nut, turmeric and jaggery with all its Florentine background. This place has been identified as a big commercial point in the country as well as in surrounding areas.
